was our first Podengo bitch to be imported.
Za-Za is from Miguel Sabino’s Viamonte Kennel in Portugal. She recently earned her UKC
Championship, a Group One and Two, and was 5th in UKC’s Top
Ten for 2007. Za-Za whelped a
beautiful boy on 11/29/08. She’s a
great mommy! Plushcourt Ega (“Ester”)
was the second Podengo bitch to join us and our first UKC Champion. She was second in the UKC Top Ten for
2007 and was imported from Betty Judge’s Plushcourt Kennel in England. Paco do Vale do Poco (“Paco”)
is our only adult male at the moment and was imported from Vitor and
Gabriela Veiga’s Vale do Poco kennel in Portugal. Paco recently won his UKC
Championship!! Paco also sired a
5-puppy litter for P-P Paradise Kennel and another male puppy for Pioneer
Podengos! Way to go Paco! Carolina, Colleen and Constance Ester and babies are all fine! Pioneer Podengos is a kennel devoted to furthering the
rare Portuguese Podengo Pequeno
breed in the United States.
Pequeno means “small” in Portuguese.
